To me BFS is a life saver; you know when your friends and family say “you knew what you were getting into”? That's annoying, but these girls know exactly. I have also made some lifelong friends who have made the tough times easier and the happy times a lot more happier.

To me, BFS is a lifeline to the outside world. It’s a place to come no matter what mood, friends on here can cheer you up no matter how down you are feeling, they will laugh with you, cry with you and help you every time you log on. I have met some real good people on here and I know that even if I never meet that person in real life a friendship online can be the best you have ever known.

I am amongst mothers, sisters, wives, girlfriends and even serving personnel and I am honoured to belong to this family. Everybody is always so willing to go out of their way to help someone they may never meet and lifelong friendships have been born from this site. BFS gets you through the bad days and turns them into good days, BFS gives you the support you need and BFS provides you with the friendship you crave when He's not there. Whether I log on every day, or once a month; I know I'll be welcomed with open arms and I'll feel right at home.

This forum for me is a personal lifeline. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience from all areas of forces life, alongside this there is support, laughter and real friends to meet up with. I have found my best friends on this forum and for that I am truly grateful.

To me BFS means acceptance.
It means I am part of a living, breathing network of strong, interesting women; who appreciate me for who I am. It means I can voice my troubles, seek advice and share a story, without feeling self-conscious or afraid.
I am treated as an individual, not an extension of my partner. I am not judged by his rank, reputation or pay check. I know that if my circumstances were to change I would not be abandoned, for not being a 'proper' Forces Sweetheart.
